Local Plan paused.
At a meeting of the council on 6 June 2023, the decision was taken to pause the Local Plan examination process, in order to allow the new council time to understand and review the policies and implications of the Local Plan.
Spelthorne’s Chief Executive, Daniel Mouawad has written to the Inspector, Mr Bridgwater who has agreed a pause of 3 months for this specific purpose.
The Town Society regret this backward step and hope Staines will not suffer more from unwanted development as a result.
