Moratorium on new high-rise development in Staines.

A coalition of 5 Residents Associations opposed to the proposed 14 storey, 300 bed hotel & 200 residential unit development on the Bridge Street Car Park site, have asked Spelthorne Borough Council for a moratorium on new high rise development in Staines, prior to the completion of the Staines Masterplan.

The Staines Town Society supports this unique opportunity for constructive cross-party co-operation between the councillors, to achieve a goal that is widely supported by local residents.
