Two Rivers Bar & Restaurant amended plans

An amended application has been lodged for the development of 11 flats at The Two Rivers Bar and Restaurant, (formerly The Phoenix pub) in Church Street. The number of flats is reduced (previously 15, now 11) but the Town Society remains of the view that it is too bulky, out of character and should blend more in terms of height and style with its immediate neighbours; the landmark row of locally listed buildings at the junction of Bridge Street & Church Street. The planning officers and the conservation officer recommend approval, it was heard at Planning Committee on Wednesday 6 March 2019 and as expected, approval has been Granted.
