We have made a substantial objection to this application for a change of use of this Listed Building, from an office to retail – in this case, a chicken & chips takeaway, in the heart of the Staines Conservation Area. The area deserves better, a broader range of business and does not need another takeaway. Church Street is fast becoming an “everything with chips” area, which tends to lead to more rubbish, un-civilised parking and noisy customers late at night.
Our objection is quite detailed and we will be adding a broader synopsis here within the next couple of days.
