An Appeal has been submitted to the Secretary of State in respect of the land at the Old Pumping Station in Wheatsheaf Lane, situated at the corner of the horse field. The Planning Application for a three bedroomed detached house was made last year under reference 18/00435/FUL and permission was refused by Spelthorne Borough Council for 3 reasons, a brief synopsis of these is given below, for full details please check the council website using the above planning reference.

a). Inappropriate development in the Green Belt.

b). Fails to meet the requirements of the National Planning Policy Framework (July 2018) regarding issues with flooding.

c). Proposed roof terrace is out of keeping with the character of properties in the surrounding street scene and would have a detrimental impact on the open character of the surrounding area.
